Claims Service International was established in January 1991 by Mrs. Soile Kanerva-Richter and Mr. Rainer Richter as "Rivolto Claims Service" in Rivolto (Udine).

Since the relocation of the head office to Austria as "Richter & Richter OEG" in 1996, the Rivolto Claims Service office in Rivolto (Udine) has acted as a branch office. The second office in Italy was moved from Rivolto directly to Udine town in May 1998 and is now located at I-33100 Udine, Via Podgora 25/C. The office in Italy is registered with the Udine Chamber of Commerce (Camera di Commercio, Industria, Artigianato, e Agricoltura) under N.R.E.A. 266668.

Mrs. Michaela Casadio-Janach has been the legal successor of Richter & Richter OEG since 1/1/2008. The company name is "Claims Service International Michaela Casadio-Janach e.U." and is registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court in Klagenfurt, number FN 86609t.

Since 1996 CSI has been authorized by the Austrian Association of Insurance Companies to handle passive claims in accordance with "Internal Regulations" (Green Card), and has been appointed by well-known Finnish companies. The Allianz Elementar in Vienna acts as fronting company. Since 1998, CSI has also handled passive claims in Italy in accordance with "Internal Regulations" without a fronting company, with approval of the Italian National Bureau (UCI). For the purposes of the 4th EU Motor Insurance Directive, CSI furthermore acts as claims representatives for Finnish companies in Austria and Italy, as well as for Austrian companies in Finland.
